REGULAR MEETING

MARCH 12, 2007

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

 

 

Present: Boss, Olach, B.J. Peter, Vollmer and M. Drenth.                                                                            Absent:  Campbell, J. Skeel and M. Peters

Others: Robert Daunter, Janice Drost, Ken Groesser, Jerry Rasmussen and Linda Gallagher from the Antrim Review.

Meeting called to order by Boss at 7:00 p.m.

 

1         Motion by Olach /B.J. Peters to accept the February 2007 minutes as presented.      CARRIED. 4-0

 

Public Input: 

Janice Drost:  Asked the Council for permission to get flowers and supplies for the Village flower boxes as needed with permission from Tex Drenth, DPW. Council gave that permission.

Posting a 25-mph sign at the corner of Lincoln and Main Streets for south bound traffic.

Also a new street sign at the corner of Elm and Main streets.   Tex Drenth to do so.

Jerry Rasmussen: Presented to the Council new bound Zoning Ordinance Books that were donated to the Village by David Muha. A thank-you will be sent to David Muha.

Ken Groesser: Still having problems with car parking on his property on Center Street. The problem was given to Office Daunter.

Police:  Office Daunter gave police report.

DPW:

Streets: Hellen Allen to call Martin Graf from Gosling/Czubak Engineering and make them aware of the winter related problems on Main Street.

 

Planning Commission: The Commission is waiting on the Revised Version of the Zoning Ordinance.

 

Action Items:

2.     Motion by Vollmer/B. Peters to share a half page ad in the VisitorŐs Guide with the Banks Township with the Village cost estimated to be $343.50, 1/3 the cost of the ad. CARRIED.  4/0
