VILLAGE OF ELLSWORTH COUNCIL MINUTES

REGULAR MEETING

NOVEMBER 7, 2005

Present: J. Skeel, Boss, Campbell, M. Peters, BJ Peters and Ruis.

Absent: Olach, M. Drenth

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:10 p.m.

1.Motion by BJ Peters / Skeel to accept the minutes from the October 2005 meeting. CARRIED. 6-0

Cindy Ruis was swearn into office as a Village Trustee November 2, 2005 witnessed by Hugh Campbell and Irene Shooks.

Departments:

Police: NA

DPW: NA

Planning Commission: At the regular meeting Thursday November 10 th Planning Commission to decide if Cellere meets conditions and requirements of 7.3K of Village Zoning Ordinance.

2. Motion by Boss/Skeel that the Council is satisfied with the Monopole Specs. Monoples are designed in accordance with the Electronics Industry Association Standard EIA/TIA 222-F 1996, which is a nationally approved A.N.S.I. Standard for communication structure design. CARRIED

Streets:

3. Motion by Ruis/Bj Peters to allow Magnum Electric to pump storm water from their property on Lake Street to storm drain ditch north west of the old rail road bed. 5 – yes/ 1 no - CARRIED.

Action Items:

4. Motion by Skeel/Boss for Hellen Allen and Marlene Drenth to be the signature names on the Main Street water extension bank account with Charlevoix State Bank. CARRIED.

5. Motion by Skeel/Ruis to support the Wooden Shoe Holiday fest to be held December 14, 2005 and to provide a revolving trophy for the winner & runner-up to the decorating contest by local businesses. CARRIED

Discussion:

Fall fest is tentatively set to be held annually on the 4^th Saturday in October.

Water main replacement on Main Street.

Updated Christmas decorations for Center & Main St from Central Lake

Waste water – General information given by Campbell. Probably wait until next for proposals.

6. Motion by Bj Peters/Ruis to pay the bills. CARRIED

7. Motion by BJ Peters/Ruis to adjourn. CARRIED. 7:45 p.m.
