Street Abandonment

Present:  Campbell, M. Drenth, Boss, Olach and Vollmer 

Absent:  J. Skeel 

Others: Jerry Rasmussen, Tex Drenth, John Hastings, Jim Slough, Eric Seese

 

The purpose of the hearing was to provide details regarding the vacating of the northern 19 feet portion of Hardy Street ROW that is located along lot #98 of Village plat from Main St to the east boundary of lot #98 (125 ft ML) of Village Plat and to receive public input and comments.  

Following a short discussion with no public objection to the abandonment the public hearing was closed.  7:12 p.m.

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:12 p.m.

1.     Motion by Olach/Boss to accept the August 2007 minutes as presented. CARRIED.  4-0

Action Items:

2.     Motion by Vince Olach/Robert Vollmer to approve the resolution vacating of the northern 19 feet portion of Hardy Street ROW that is located along lot #98 of Village plat from Main St to the east boundary of lot #98 (125 ft ML) of Village Plat / See Attachment

Fill two Trustee Vacancy positions.

3.  Motion by Boss/Olach to approve Jerry Rasmussen to fill the Trustee position vacated by Matt Peters.  CARRIED  Boss: yes, Olach: yes, Vollmer: yes, Campbell: yes

4.  Motion by Vollmer/Olach to approve Eric Seese to fill the Trustee position vacated by Billie Jo Peters.  CARRIED  Boss: yes, Olach: yes, Vollmer: yes, Campbell: yes

Village Clerk, Hellen Allen swears into office Rasmussen and Seese to the Village Trustee potions.

 

5.  Motion by Jerry Rasmussen/Ron Boss to pass the Resolution of intent to vacate a portion of Maple Street from the west boundary of lots 160 and 163 east to the east boundary of lots 161 and 162.  And vacate a portion of the Alley between Center and Maple Street from the west boundary of lots 136 and 161 east to the east boundary of lots 135 and 161.

Police:

6.  Motion by Boss/Seese to pay Officer Pratt  for the hours spent at the training seminar 

              not to exceed 40 hours.  CARRIED  5-1

 

                              a.  Discussed evidence locker for the police department.

                              b.  Discussed placement of buoyÕs for the swimming area.

DPW:

Control Valve replacement in the vault pit at the corner of Ash and Park has been completed.

 

7.  Motion by Boss/Olach to have Village International Truck sent to ZerimbaÕs in Gaylord for DOT inspection, routine maintenance,  and  repairs. CARRIED-6-0

 

Street Lamps:  Waiting for Consumers Power to put in the meter.

 

Industrial Development District  (IDD) hearing at 7:00p.m. October 8th  2007.

 

8.   Motion by Olach/Boss to pay the bills as presented.  CARRIED.  6-0

9.  Motion by Olach/Vollmer to adjourn at 8:15 p.m.  CARRIED.
