   Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.

1.  Motion by Rasmussen/Skeel to accept the June 2008 minutes as presented. CARRIED. 6-0

2.  Motion by Rasmussen/Skeel to accept the June 23, 2008 Special Meeting Minutes as     presented. CARRIED. 6-0

a.     Planning Commission –

b.     Finance Committee – 2007-2008 Audit Campbell reviewed the audit with the Council

 

Recreation Committee:

a.      Parks – Wooden Shoe is having good summer

Discussion:

a.     MenÕs  2008 softball tournament revenue will be donated to the Ellsworth Community Park Project.

b.     Banners/Wooden Shoes for the Main Street Lamp posts

c.     Ellsworth Community Park Enhancement Project: Campbell updated the Council on the ongoing work at the park:

       1)  Playground area    2)  Dock    3)  Multipurpose Building  4)  Progress 

e.     The Farmers Market starting August 2 through the fall. On Center St. west of Main Street;          At  the four corners.    

Action Items:

 

3.    Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to approve the Budget Amendment as presented:  General     Fund/Revenue/ Decrease Banks Township (101-000-6686) from $8000 to a$0)     CARRIED. 6-0

 

4.    Motion by Rasmussen/Skeel to accept  Alden Lumber  Co. - EJÕs  low bid of $4600.36 for the    Archery Range materials.   CARRIED. 6-0

 

5.    Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to approve the propane contract as calculated by the Ellsworth    Farmers Exchange.  CARRIED. 6-0

 

6.    Motion by Rasmussen/Skeel to approve the paying of the bills as presented.   CARRIED. 6-0  

 

7.   Motion by Boss/Skeel to adjourn at 8:00p.m.
