REGULAR MEETING

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

 

Present: Campbell, Olach, Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen and Seese.

Absent:  Vollmer and Skeel                                                                                                                                        Others:  Trisha Pratt and Dean Pratt.    

 

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to accept the December 2007 minutes as presented. CARRIED.

Police: Officer requested new tires for the Police car.

2.  Motion by Olach/Boss to have new tires ordered for the police car.  CARRIED.  5-0

Wednesday January 16, 2008 at the Banks Township Hall to work on a proposed budget for the 2008-09 fiscal year.

 

Action Items:

3.  Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to have the Village Employee wages increased by 2.3 %.

Tex Drenth:  from $15.32 to $15.67

Village EmployeeÕs from $10.98 to $11.23

Police from $11.54 to $11.81

Clerk from $11,652.00 to $11,820.00

Treasurer from $3,288.00 to $3,363.62          CARRIED 5-0

 

Budget Amendments:

4.  Motion by Olach/Boss to amend the 2007-08 budget as presented.            CARRIED  5-0

 

Increase General Fund/Fund Balance (101-000-40100) $32,000 from $108,000 to $140,000.

 

Increase General Fund/Revenue/Festivals (101-000-68000) $1467 from $0 to $1467;  Increase Community Culture/Festivals (101-774-72800) $1467 from $1300 to $2767.

 

Increase Water Fund/Revenue/Main St Water Main Extension (591-000-67900) $10,116 from $0 to $10,116 and Increase Water Fund/Plant/Other Expenses (591-536-95700) $10,116 from $170 to $10,286.

 

Increase Water Fund/Plant/Capital Outlay (591-536-97000) $4018 from $0 to $4018

 

5.  Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to make available (at no cost to Banks Township) the Village backhoe for the Township cleanup day May 17th 2008.  CARRIED   5-06.

 

6.   Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to have the Clerk  purchase a new flat screen computer monitor for the Village office not to exceed $ 160.00.     CARRIED   5-0

 

7.  Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to pay the bills as presented.  CARRIED  5-0

 

8.   Motion by Olach/Boss to adjourn.          CARRIED.         7:30  P.M.
