REGULAR MEETING

Meeting called to order by President Campbell at 7:05 p.m.

1. Motion by Seese/Olach to accept the April 2008 minutes as presented.

CARRIED / 6-0

Public Input:

Ed Petter: Petter presented to council (with drawings and specifications) completing his driveway and the unfinished portion of Village right-of-way of Harrison St.

2. Motion by Olach/Vollmer to approve Petter request to complete the project as presented. CARRIED.

Department Reports:

Police: Office Daunter gave police report. Daunter also went over the conditions of the warranty on the police radios. The Council did not act on purchasing an extended warranty.

Also discussed flag poles at the Ellsworth Community Park.

Office Daunter informed Council that Police coverage for Pig Roast weekend is all set.

Planning Commission: No Quorum.

Discussion:

a. Park: General information on the bid packages for the Ellsworth Community Park was given.

b. Tex Drenth to get information on resurfacing the tennis courts.

c. State of the Community is Thursday May 15^th at 7:00 p.m. at the Ellsworth Community Schools.

Sports Park: Village is working on estimates for running water from the hydrant to Drenth field.

Action Items:

3. Motion by Vollmer/Seese to contribute $ 250.00 to the 2008 Pig Roast. CARIED. 5-0

4. Motion by Olach/Vollmer to sell to Charlevoix State Bank Lot 157 for the $40,000.00 stated in the lease agreement .

a. short discussion followed. CARRIED. 5-0

5. Motion by Olach/Boss to have SS ,MC State and Federal withholdings taken from Andy Veenstra’s Zoning Administrator’s check. CARRIED. 5-0

6. Motion by Boss/Vollmer to purchase new tennis nets for the for the Village Tennis courts. CARRIED.5-0

7. Motion by Boss/Olach to purchase new buoys to mark the swimming area at the River Park CARRIED 5-0

8. Motion by Olach/Boss to pay the bills. CARRIED. 5-0

9. Motion by Vollmer/Seese to adjourn at 8:40 p.m. CARRIED.
