REGULAR MEETING

NOVEMBER 10, 2008

Present: Olach, Boss, Rasmussen, M. Drenth, Campbell and Seese.

Absent: Vollmer, Skeel

Others: Jeff Kessler, Adam Gandolfi and Betsy Randall

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.

1. Motion Rasmussen/ Olach to accept the October 2008 minutes as presented. CARRIED.

PUBLIC RESPONSE:

Betsy Randall: Trapping of animals in the Village Limits.

Adam Gandolfi: from MUM, Municipal Underwriter of Michigan Inc. Village Liability Inc. Co. Mr. Gandolfi presented the policy to the Village Council with renewal options and costs.

2. Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to renew the village’s liability insurance with Municipal Underwriter of Michigan with a $500.00 deductible and a yearly cost of $ 8,432.00 for three (3) years. CARRIED 5-0

DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS

a. Police

b. Streets –

c. DPW: Water to Mom’s and Tot’s Center and the Community Park has been completed.

d. Planning Commission: Meeting to be held on the 13^th of November.

ACTION ITEMS

Committees & Rosters:

3. Motion by Olach/Boss to approve the Committees and Rosters for 2008-2009 as presented by the Village President. CARRIED 5-0

4. Motion by Boss/Olach to approve the Proclamation for East Jordan Iron Works (EJIW) on their one hundred and twenty five years of operation to the area. CARRIED 5-0

5. Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to approve the terms of office for the Village Council from November 8^th at noon to November 8^th at noon. CARRIED 5-0

DISCUSSION:

a. Street Lamps Decoration

b. Community Park : The pavilion is completed and the bathroom building will be delivered this week we hope

c. Fencing for Archery Range will be completed in the spring.

6. Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to pay the bills. CARRIED 5-0

7. Motion by Rasmussen/Seese to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. CARRIED.
