COUNCIL MINUTES

REGULAR MEETING

APRIL 13, 2009

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

Present: Boss, Olach, Rasmussen, Vollmer and M. Drenth. Absent: Campbell

Others: Tony Miller, Linda Gallagher, Antrim Co. News.

Meeting called to order by Boss at 7:00 p.m.

1. Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to accept the March 2009 minutes as presented. CARRIED. 4-0

Public Input:

Tony Miller from Sport and Caricature, Mentoring Kids: Mr. Miller asked council for the opportunity to have his student’s plant tree, shrubs and flowers in the new Community Park.

Discussion:

a. Opening of Wooden Shoe Park: The park will open May 15^th with Ed and Kris Green as the park attendants.

b. Community Park Project:

c. Jerry Rasmussen will be working on trash and vehicles Ordinance in the village.

d. Jerry Rasmussen is working on Village ORV Ordinance and stickers to ride ORV’s in the Village limits. Will present finding at the May Council meeting.

Action Items:

Budget Amendments: No amendments were presented.

2. Motion by Olach/Vollmer to approve Marilyn B. Drenth as the new Village Trustee to fill the vacancy (left by the resignation of Jeff Skeel) which will run until the November 2010 elections

3. Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to pay the bills as presented. CARRIED. 4-0

4. Motion to adjourn by Rasmussen at 8:02 P.M.
