REGULAR MEETING

Present: Campbell, M. Drenth, Boss, Vollmer, Stewart, Olach, Rasmussen and M.B. Drenth.

Absent:

 Others:  Dave Heeres and Gary Strange.

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 PM

1.         Motion by Olach/Rasmussen to accept the July 13, 2009 minutes as presented. CARRIED.

       2.    Motion by Olach/Stewart to accept Special Meeting Minutes held July 6th 2009. CARRIED

       3.    Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to accept Special Meeting Minutes held July 23, 2009. CARRIED

DISCUSSION  ITEMS:

a.       Community Park Enhancement Project, Work on the boat dock will start this weekend

b.   Restrooms: Drenth Plumbing is working on completing the restrooms/storage building.                     c.   Front Porch will have a fund raiser on September the 4th with singer Jill Jack.  This will be a soft opening for the Community Park

f.    Short discussion was held on the sale of village property to the Ellsworth Farmers          Exchange.

 

ACTION ITEMS:

 

4. Motion by Vollmer/Olach to accept the bid of $8169.48 from CDS for the construction of the Wild Life Viewing dock and to extend them a contract upon the approval from the DNR.

CARRIED 6 yes - Jerry Rasmussen abstained   CARRIED.

 

5.  Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to accept the bid of $16.50 per cu. yd. to Cannonsburg for Engineered Woodchips for the playground and to extend them a contract upon the approval from of DNR.  CARRIED 7 Yes/ 0 No

 

6.   Motion by Boss/Stewart to accept the bid of $2,204.50 from Atwood Lumber Co. for the material for the Boat Dock and to extend them a contract upon the approval from the DNR.  CARRIED 7- YES /0-NO

 

7.  Motion by Olach/Vollmer to approve Jerroll Drenth to make signage for the Ellsworth Community Park. CARRIED 6- YES /  M.B. Drenth abstained.

 

8.   Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to approve the propane pre-buy with the Ellsworth Farmers Exchange at the cost of $1.61 per gal for a total cost of $5,061.80. CARRIED.

 

      6.  Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to pay the bills as presented. CARRIED  6-0

 

      7.  Motion by Boss/Vollmer to adjourn at 8:05 p.m.
