Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.
1. Motion by Rasmussen/Olach to accept the June 2009 minutes as
presented. CARRIED. 6-0
Public Input:
Joe Meyers presented to
council the countyŐs plan (with the approval of the Village) for a recycling
station in the Village of Ellsworth at the Antrim County property on C48 towards
East Jordan.
2. Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to support the recycling station in
the Village of Ellsworth. CARRIED.
Department Reports:
a.
Police – Office
Daunter gave information to Council on ORV on Antrim Co. roads and will have
more information at the August meeting.
b.
DPW – Tex Drenth
has the water line repaired at the Community Park.
c.
Street –
3. Motion by Olach/Boss to accept the proposal
from Stevens Concrete to replace (3) catch basins in the Village (a). in front
of Vollmers Auto Sale est. cost of $600.00 (b). near the Ellsworth Comm. School Bus garage est. cost of
$600.00 (c). In from the Ellsworth Farmers Exchange
the cost not to exceed $3000.00.

– 2008-2009 Audit: Campbell reviewed the audit with the Council

Parks – Wooden Shoe is having good
summer
Discussion:
a.
MenŐs 2009 softball
tournament IS July 24th and 25th.
b. Bids for the dock at the
Community have been sent out.
c. Signage for the Community
Park was discussed.
d. Fireworks permit in the
Village will remain as is with the Township issuing the permits.
e. C-48 Breezeway signage for
Antrim Co will be up July 20th.
f. New box for the
Village dump truck: Tex will be getting est. for stainless and /or steel box.

Sierra 1500 2/4 pickup form Vollmer Auto Sale at the cost of $8500.00
