Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:05 p.m.
1. Motion
by Olach/Vollmer to accept the May 2009 regular meeting minutes as presented. CARRIED 7-0

C. Streets – The sealing of Center St. will be done when the weather warms up.
COMMITTEES:

DISCUSSED:
a. Pig Roast: The new Pig Roast signs are up on Main Street and look very nice.
Louise Alfred: The Pig Roast Committee ask Council to block Center St. from Lake to Main St and Main St from Center St. north to Church St. during the parade, also asked for $250.00 donation for the Pig Roast and wanted to confirm that the Village police were set for the day.
b. Larry Essenberg: informed the village the Wesleyan Church would like to use the undeveloped portion of Ash St between Park and Main St to enter and exit from their parking lot from Main St.
2. Motion by Boss/Olach to allow Ellsworth Wesleyan Church to use the plated undeveloped portion of Ash St. for a drive to exit/enter their parking lot from Main St. Carried. 7-0
c. Judy Worgess: Thanks was given to Judy by the Trustees for planting the flower boxes in the village this year.
Worgess also suggested replacing the flower boxes and updating some areas in the center of town.
d. Campbell updated the council on the 2008-09 audit.
e. Campbell updated Council on the C 48 Breezeway and Task Force.
f. The Breezeway will be placed between Atwood and Boyne Falls.
g. Farmers Market to open Saturday, June 20 the day of the Pig Roast on the corner
of Center and Main St.
h. Jerry Rasmussen: There will be fire works on July 3rd on Lake Sinclair starting at
dusk.
i. Campbell also updated council Community Park and the village is still waiting
for Consumers Power to hook up the electric to the park
3. Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to have the tennis courts repaired at the cost of $4000.00

j. The decorative sidewalk on the SW corner of Main and Center is in bad shape.
Gosling/Czubek is looking into ways of improving it.

4. Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to have Brian Certa build a concession stand for the sports park for the cost of materials. CARRIED 7-0
5. Motion by Olach/Boss to approve the Identity Theft Prevention Program as presented
by Village Attorney Brian Graham. CARRIED 7-0 See attachment
6. Motion by Boss/M.B. Drenth to summit
delinquent water bills to the county to be
placed as liens on the summer tax bills ($ 4,225.05) CARRIED 7-YES/ 0 - NO.
7. Motion by Vollmer/Boss to donate
$1000.00 to the Ellsworth Community fire works to
be held July 3rd.

8. Motion by Vollmer/Boss to pay the bills as
presented. CARRIED 7-0
