REGULAR MEETING

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

 

Present: Campbell, Vollmer, Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen and Seese.

Absent:  Olach and Skeel                                                                                                                                        

Others:   Robert Daunter, Linda Gallagher and Jeff Kessler    

 

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to accept the December 2008 minutes as presented. CARRIED 5-0.

Public:

Departmental Reports:

Police: Officer requested a traffic vest per requested by the State.   Office Daunter to do so.

 New tires for the police car. Not for this winter season.

Wednesday January 21, 2009 at the Banks Township Hall to work on a proposed budget for the 2009-10 fiscal year.

 

Action Items:

3.  Motion by  Rasmussen/Boss to have the Village EmployeeÕs wages  remain the same for 2009/10.  CARRIED 5-0. 

Tex Drenth:   - 15.67

Village EmployeeÕs - $11.23

Police    - $11.81

Clerk    - $11,820.00

Treasurer  - $3,363.62           

 

Budget Amendments:

4.  Motion by  Boss/Seese to amend the 2008-09 budget as follows:            CARRIED  5-0

 Revenue

Increase MNRTF Grant (58100)  $194,000 from $13,000 to $207,000; Increase Other Revenue (69900) $94,685 from $0 to $94,685.

Expenses/Community Park

Increase Salary and Wages (70200) $3640 from $0 to $3640; Increase Contracted Services (80220) $90,000 from $0 to $90,000; Increase Printing and Publishing (90000) $741 from $0 to $741; Increase Capital Outlay (97000) $186,000 from $0 to $186,000; Increase Capital Outlay-Labyrinth (97300) $270 from $0 to $270; Increase Other Expenses (97500) $100 from $0 to $100

 

5.  Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to make available (at no cost to Banks Township) the Village backhoe for the Township cleanup day May 9th 2009.  CARRIED   5-0.

 

6.  Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to offer Andy Ross the Summer Recreation Director For next summer.  CARRIED 5-0

 

Discussion:

a.  Community Park Project is stopped for the winter.

b. The Village has been awarded the Arbor Day Grant for $200.00.

c. Federal Stimulus  Package:  Village has applied.

 

7.  Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to pay the bills as presented.  CARRIED  5-0

 

8.   Motion by Rasmussen to adjourn.          CARRIED.         7:40  P.M.
