REGULAR MEETING

Present: Campbell, M. Drenth, Boss, Vollmer, Nickel, Rasmussen, Stewart and M.B. Drenth.

Absent:

 Others:  Robert Daunter, Duane Arnott and Linda Gallagher

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:05 PM

1.          Motion by Rasmussen/Stewart to accept the August 12, 2010 minutes as presented. CARRIED.

     Duane Arnott: Is interest in teaching archery next summer as part of the recreation program and will be fully certified by then.

Linda Gallagher from the Antrim Co. News.

POLICE:  Officer Robert Daunter was here from the Police Dept.

B.       PARKS AND RECREATION:   

 

DISCUSSION  ITEMS:

.

a.        The Ellsworth Loins Club has donated up to $400.00 for grills at the Ellsworth Community Park.

b.     TomÕs Bait Shop has requested the uses of Ellsworth Community Park for their free fishing                                                           weekend February 19 and 20,  2011.       

c.      Fire works for the Village will be held July 2, 2011.   

d.     USDA has contacted the Village about raising the water rates.

 

ACTION ITEMS:

 

2.     Motion by Nickel/Rasmussen to become a member of the Michigan Campground 2011 Directory            w/ the                      cost being $550.00 per year. CARRIED.   7-0

 

3.     Motion by Rasmussen/Nickel to approve the budget amendments as follows.  CARRIED.  7-0

               GENERAL FUND:

 

                  Increase Treasurer/Office Supplies (101-253-72600) $1700 from $500 to $2200

 

        Increase Building & Grounds/Capital Outlay (101-265-97000) $3216 from $11,392 to $14,608

 

      4.       Motion by Rasmussen/Stewart to approve Consumers Energy Resolution to change the 1982    agreement.  See Attachment.

 

      5.      Motion by Boss/Vollmer to sent a letter to Ken Groesser to pay up this yearÕs rental and last

                   yearÕs rental.  ( $600.00 total).  CARRIED.  7-0

 

      6.      Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to repave Ash St. from Park west 120 ft. at the cost of $3,700.00.                   contingent on the Village removing old pavement and doing prep work if needed.  CARRIED.  7/0

 

      7.       Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to pay the bills as presented. CARRIED.7-0

 

      8.       Motion by Boss/Stewart to adjourn at 8:30 p.m.
