REGULAR MEETING

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

 

Present: Campbell, Vollmer, Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen, Stewart and M.B. Drenth

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Motion by Rasmussen/Stewart to accept the December 2011 minutes as presented. CARRIED    6-0.

Departmental Reports:

Police: Office Morris gave a short police report to the council

 .   

DPW:   

      

Streets: N/A

Planning Commission:  Will be having a public hearing on a zoning ordinance amendment to allow for guest houses in residential districts (R-1,R-2,R-3 and R-4)

Finance Committee: 

Tuesday January 10, 2012, 7:00 at the Banks Township Hall to work on a proposed budget for the 2012-13 fiscal years.

 

Action Items:

2.  Motion by Vollmer/MB Drenth to have the Village EmployeeÕs wages remain the same for 2012/13 with the exception of Tex Drenth his wages will go from $15.67 to $16.17 per hr..  CARRIED 6-0 

Tex Drenth:   - 15.67

Village EmployeeÕs - $11.23

Police    - $11.81

Clerk    - $11,920.00

Treasurer - $3,363.62          

 

Budget Amendments:

3.  Motion by  Rasmussen/Campbell to amend the 2011/12 budget as follows:            CARRIED 6-0

 General Fund:

            Increase Clerk/Communications (215-85000) $540 from $700 to $1240.

            Increase Clerk/Other Expense (215-95700) $180 from $150 to $330

            Increase Building and Grounds/Operating Supplies (265-72700) $2500 from $10,000 to $12,500.

            Decrease Building and Grounds/ Salary and Wages (265-70200) $2500 from $37,899 to $35,999

            Increase Community Park/Other Expense (755-97500) $106 from $0 to $106.

            Increase Revenue/Archery Entry Fees $268 (000-86200) from $0 to $268

            Increase Community Culture/Archery Tournament Expense (774-86600) from $0 to $268.

            Increase Zoning/Consulting Fees (410-80120) $179 from $500 to $679

            Increase Building and Grounds/Capital Outlay (265-97000) $1578.50 from $18,601 to $20179.50

Water Fund:

            Increase Plant/Capital Outlay (536-9700) from $0 to $1578.50

             

4.  Motion by Boss Stewart to approve Banks Township using the Village Backhoe for the Township Clean-up Day Saturday, May 12, 2012.  Carried.  6-0

 

5.  Ordinance Administrator:

Motion by Boss/Vollmer to set the Ordinance AdministratorÕs yearly wage at $ 250.00.  CARRIED.  5-0   - 1 obtained

 

Discussion:

a    Grand Vision: Market Master

b.   Summer Recreation Director to be tabled until the Feb. 2012 meeting  .

c.   Shiver Fest will be February  17,18,19,  2012

 

7.  Motion by Boss/Rasmussen to pay the bills as presented.  CARRIED  7-0

 

8.   Motion by Stewart/Boss to adjourn.         8:30  P.M.
